No residential properties in sectors 5, 12A, 17, 22, 23 and 23A need to be demolished, Huda administrator Nitin Yadav said in an affidavit filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

However, the residential units which are in the line of fire include 479 plots in Sector 14 and six plots in Sector 18. Besides, a police post, three schools, a Huda office, a cremation ground, and the HSEB plot are likely to be sacrificed because of being under the restricted vicinity, the affidavit said.

The development authority said that commercial establishments such as Payal cinema complex, some shops in Sector 14 and Maruti plant in Sector 18 also fall under the restricted range of the ammunition depot.
