A TWO-DAY travel and tourism mart, ‘Destination Madhya Pradesh’ gets underway here on January 28 to develop tourism potential and attract both domestic and foreign tourists to the State.

Eminent personalities of the tourism sector in India and abroad, including representatives of National Tourism Board, State Tourism Development Corporations, travel agents, hotel, resort and water park operators, will attend the event.

Tourism Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia will inaugurate the event while Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is scheduled to address the concluding session.

Four seminars on topics ‘Importance of transport facilities in tourism sector’, ‘Eco and adventure tourism’, ‘Heritage and rural tourism’ and ‘Contribution of tourism in economic development’ will also be organised on the occasion.
