Congress MP Sachin Pilot on Tuesday said that the Congress-led UPA Government will come back to power at the Centre in the next general elections.

"The UPA has provided a stable government at the Centre and has done a lot for the welfare of the poor and the downtrodden, besides implementing many programmes for the benefit of rural people in the country. Our development programmes will crown us again," Pilot, on his way to Nuzvid town near here to participate in a function, told reporters.

Praising the welfare programmes taken up by the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh, the young leader expressed confidence in the state unit of winning 40 Lok Sabha seats for the party in the coming polls on the development plank.

Vijayawada MP L Rajgopal, APCC spokesperson P Venkatarao and city Congress unit President P Sominaidu were also present.
