'Dhariwal, Dawood to be charged soon'

The chargesheet would be in connection with alleged smuggling of machines to Gulf and later on to Pakistan.

The CBI would soon be filing a supplementary chargesheet against five persons, including Gutkha baron Rasiklal Manikchand Dhariwal and global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.

The chargesheet would be in connection with alleged smuggling of machines to Gulf and later on to Pakistan.

The chargesheet would be filed as soon as the CBI gets the sanction for prosecution against Dhariwal, another Gutkha baron JM Joshi, Dawood Ibrahim, Abdul Hamid Antulay and Salim Mohammed Ghaus Shaikh under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) from the Mumbai Police Commissioner AN Roy, CBI sources said.

The CBI is pursuing a case against Joshi and Dhariwal for allegedly meeting fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim in Karachi to settle a business dispute between them.

The two gutkha barons are alleged to have settled the dispute and in return parted with the gutkha recipe with the don to assist him set up a gutkha manufacturing unit at Karachi.
