He was addressing a Congress dharna at Roshanpura Square against alleged spurt in the incidents of atrocities against Dalits in the State under BJP dispensation.

Singh further said that in place of working for welfare of downtrodden sections of the society, particularly Dalits, the BJP Government has only neglected their interests. The law & order situation was going out of hands owing to inefficiency of the ministers and their inability to administer their job properly, he added.

The dharna was organised by Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Cell of the State Congress.
