Discom engn summoned for claiming bogus bills

Additional sessions and district judge Basruddin on Friday issued summons to chief engineer of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) SS Gupta, directing him to appear before the court on December 12.
According to the complaint filed by Ishwar Dutt Sharma, upper divisional clerk of the discom, Gupta claimed bogus travelling allowance (TA) bills when he was working as controller of stores.
Six bills were claimed by him between March 10, 2009 and August 21, 2009.
In the departmental inquiry general manager accounts JS Kadyan had said that the primary inquiry showed that the bills claimed by the officer appeared to be bogus. Later the complainant went to police but to no avail.
The complainant has attached the location of the accused as shown in his mobile phone record which is contradictory to the location shown in the bills.
