Doc killed by unidentified person in Delhi

A doctor was on Sunday shot dead by an unidentified person outside a hospital in the crowded Gole market area in the heart of the national capital, police said.

Twenty-eight-year-old Rajesh, a private medical practitioner, was shot outside the Kalavatisharan Hospital, they said.

An unidentified man pumped at least 12 bullets into Rajesh, they said adding he was rushed to the nearby Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

The motive behind the shooting was not known and police are investigating the case.
