Doctor sentenced three years imprisonment

Dr Prem Sagar Ahuja, child specialist posted at civil hospital, Amabala cantt, has been convicted by the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Amabala in corruption case and sentenced to three years imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of Rs 3000.

In another case, Shamsher Singh, posted at Ratia in district Fatehabad has been convicted by the court of ASJ, Fatehabad for a period of two years imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of Rs 5,000.

The allegations against both accused were that they were caught red handed by the teams of Haryana State vigilance bureau while accepting bribe and cases under section 7/13/49/88 of prvention of corruption act had been registered against them in bureau's police station at Amabala and Hisar, an official spokesman said in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
