Doctor shot dead over clinic dispute at Azamgarh

Unidentified bike riders shot dead a doctor and looted his motorbike and cellphone at a village in Azamgarh district Thursday night, police said on Friday.

Unidentified bike riders shot dead a doctor and looted his motorbike and cellphone at a village in Azamgarh district Thursday night, police said on Friday.

The incident took place at village Gadanpur Hichchanpatti, police said adding that villagers spotted the body this morning and reported the same to the police.

The slain doctor has been identified as Ram Saharey Yadav (25 years), a resident of Dadra village under Tahabpur police station in Azamgarh district.

Police suspect that a dispute over a clinic is probably the the motive for the murder.

The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem and no arrests have been made in this connection.
