Doctors, several others felicitated

The local chapter of the Indian Medical Association organised the function in Lahurabeer area to acknowledge the services of doctors, social workers, journalists and the police. The association also marked the birth anniversary of late Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.

Institute of Medical Sciences BHU emeritus professor TK Lahiri, former IMA (Varanasi) president Dr AK Rastogi, Sankat Mochan Temple Mahant Prof Veer Bhadra Mishra, BJP MLA Ajay Rai and superintendent of police (City) Anant Deo were felicitated.

IMA UP Chapter president-elect Dr AL Yadav, state secretary Dr OP Tewari, Varanasi president Dr PS Pandey and president-elect also felicitated Dev Kumar, Brijesh Singh, Ravindra Mishra and Deenbandhu for their contribution to journalism.

Wards of IMA members, including Arup Dasgupta, Shashank Ojha, Nishant Ohri, Sanket Singh, Arj Dev Upadhyay, Nilesh Kumar Gupta, Akansha Bhaskar, Vartika Shukla, Apurva Agrawal, Vartika Tiwari, Meenakshi Sinha and Saumya Singh, were felicitated for academic excellence.
