Don?t hassle anyone for my visit: Kalam

President APJ Abdul Kalam would make a brief halt in the city on his way back to New Delhi from Varanasi on Friday to inaugurate a 100-bed Divine Heart Hospital in Viraj Khand of Gomti Nagar. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and BJP President Raj Nath Singh would also be present on the occasion.

President APJ Abdul Kalam would make a brief halt in the city on his way back to New Delhi from Varanasi on Friday to inaugurate a 100-bed Divine Heart Hospital in Viraj Khand of Gomti Nagar.

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and BJP President Raj Nath Singh would also be present on the occasion. The President, according to Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Vinod Kumar Rai would arrive at 4.05 pm at Amausi Airport from where he would drive straight to the Divine Heart Hospital. The President would be accompanied by Governor TV Rajeswar and Revenue Minister Ambika Chowdhary and Ashok Bajpai in the absence of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. Vajpayee and Rajnath Singh would arrive in advance from New Delhi at around 12.30 pm and the former PM would put up in Raj Bhawan.

Kalam would fly back from Amausi at around 7.20 pm. The security agencies, along with administration authorities, conducted an advance security liasioning exercise here on Thursday on the route to be taken by the Presidential cavalcade. Civic officials worked overnight to get the entire 20 kilometre-stretch from Amausi Airport to Viraj Khand ready for the President’s fleet of 30 bullet proof cars, which have specially been flown in from Delhi. Two special teams made by LMC to watch the preparations for the President’s visit kept the safai workers and street-light workers on their toes on Thursday. According to District Magistrate RN Tripathi, the President has directed not to disturb the flow of traffic during his visit. He has also directed against blocking of traffic during the exam time.

SP Traffic Onkar Singh said, “We are not going to stop students during their exam time, but surely we would stop the movement of heavy vehicles like trucks and bus on route half-an-hour before the scheduled arrival of Prez. Lighter vehicles like cars and two wheelers would be stopped before five minutes of the Prez arrival.”

The rubbish removal department and anti encroachment squad was in action to clear the slightest of encroachments from route from Amausi to Viraj Khand.
To watch the preparation of LMC zonal health officer Dr SK Tripathi along with Nagar Swathya AdhikariDr BBS Rathore inspected the entire route from Amausi to Viaraj Khand on the eve of presidents visit. He was accompanied by Chief Engineer SK Srivastava.

According to LMC officials all the potholes coming in the entire were repaired by the LMC today. Yesterday municipal commissioner Santosh Kumar fined some shopkeepers on the VIP road for throwing their garbage on the road. Today trucks of LMC RR department were seen lifting the garbage from entire route.

150 safai workers, cattle catchers, team of health officers and inspectors pressed into service by LMC would carry out their operations in the night too.

These employees have been directed to perform special duties till late night.

On Thursday LMC cattle catchers picked up nearly sixteen animals from VIP road. The cattle catchers have been directed to patrol the entire route in the night too.
