Economical medium-paced swing bowler. Loves music, plays the bagpipes. Scholar at Churchill School in Harare, also attended by current test players Tatenda Taibu and Hamilton Mazakadza. Attended Dennis Lillee's fast bowling academy in Madras in India in 2000 and went on to make his international debut later that season.

Has taken four wickets three times, two of those on the subcontinent against India and Sri Lanka.

Called up as a net bowler and ended up making his test debut. Got one wicket — Gary Kirsten for 220. Almost helped Andy Flower make history, batting for 58 minutes for six before being the last man out, leaving Flower stranded on 199 not out after making a century in the first innings.
