'DPA's victory certain'

The Congress has said that the Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) would win all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry in the Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress has said that the Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) would win all the 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry in the Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing an election meeting here last night, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President, GK Vasan said 'with the people surging forward to support the DPA nominees we will see a full stop to the AIADMK-BJP'.

Referring to the BJP-AIADMK raising the foreign origin issue of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, he said Sonia Gandhi had been oppostion leader in Lok Sabha which was officially recognised by all including the Prime Minister.

Pondicherry Pradesh Congress Committee leader V Narayanasamy said the secular front under Sonia Gandhi's leadership would assume office at the centre after the polls.

RV Janakiraman the DMK convenor and oppostion leader in Pondicherry asembly, leaders of constituent parties of DPA and the PMK nominee Prof M Ramadoss also spoke.
