Jeetu, who was arrested earlier today in a murder and loot case of Dadri, escaped from Kasna police station in Greater Noida after hoodwinking the personnel on duty just a few hours after he was held.

A manhunt has been launched to trace the criminal who is wanted in over a dozen cases of loot and murder, SSP A K Singh said.

The circumstances that led to his escape are being looked into, he said, adding, action against the guilty policemen will also be taken.
