Drinking water being misused

TRAIN COMMUTERS may be feeling shortage of drinking water facility on the platforms at a time when the mercury has already crossed 41 degrees Celsius but the employees of the department are probably oblivious of the strong necessity for saving the most important commodity for survival in this dry summer season.

They are using drinking water for cleaning of platforms without giving a thought to the blunder they are committing.

Sources said they could easily use the washing line for the purpose of cleaning the platform but they did not not bother to take pains.

On the other hand, due to non cleaning of the water post on platforms seven and eight ,water was flowing on the platform creating a mess around.

It may be mentioned that the railway station has two types of water. One is purely for drinking purpose and the other for the cleaning of platforms and the compartments.

As per practice and dire necessity during summer, drinking water should not be used for any purpose other than for which it should be used but in reality this is not taking place at the railway station which results in utter misuse of drinking water, a commodity so precious during the summer.
