Aiming to display Indian-made good and services, Dubai will host a solo trade fair in June for the first time.

Aiming to display Indian-made good and services, Dubai will host a solo trade fair in June for the first time.

The fair, titled Made in India, will run from June 8-10 and aims to showcase India's strength in manufacturing and services, and soft powers like culture and cuisine.

The event, which will be inaugurated by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma, also seeks to highlight the country's attractiveness as an investment destination.

Besides, the fair aims to serve buyers in the greater Middle East North Africa region looking for international quality products from India.

India's main export to UAE include natural or cultured pearls, precious or semiprecious stones, mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation, cereals, iron and steel, electrical machinery and equipment, articles of apparel and clothing, accessories, nuclear reactors.

In the fair, over 250 small, medium and large Indian companies will be participating from sectors like home products, fashion accessories, garments & textiles, food items, engineering items, hydrocarbons and information technology.
