EC gets tough on transfer policy

Taking serious note of officials trying to circumvent the EC transfer policy by proceeding on leave, the Commission has asked the Punjab chief electoral officer to ensure that all such officials are made to move out of the districts from which they stood transferred immediately on receipt of the transfer orders.

Besides, all the officials, on extension of service or reemployed in various capacities, will not be associated with any election-related work except for the work with the CEO office.
