EC observer to visit Hooghly on Tuesday

The Hooghly district Trinamool Congress and Congress have alleged that the voters list in the district is full of bogus voters.

The Election Commission observer for verification of voters list in West Bengal's Hooghly district N Siva Sailab would on Tuesday meet the district officials and representatives of major political parties, a senior district official said.

District Magistrate Vinod Kumar said Sailab on Tuesday would check the voters list to find any discrepancies in the list and would also hold meeting with the district officials and representatives of major political parties.

The Hooghly district Trinamool Congress and Congress have alleged that the voters list in the district is full of bogus voters and in some places the voters list has more name than the actual population of the place.
