ECR to add coaches to clear Durga Puja rush

East Coast Railway will attach additional coaches to several trains from September 22 to October 31.

The East Coast Railway (ECR) will attach additional coaches to several mail and express trains from September 22 to October 31 to clear the extra Durga Puja rush.

ECR senior divisional commercial manager KC Pradhan, in a release in Vishakhapatnam on Wednesday said, one sleeper coach each would be attached to UP and Down Bhubaneswar-Chennai superfast, Visakhapatnam-Bangalore Prasanthi express, Visakhapatnam-Nizamaddin Samatha express, Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin Hirakud express, Puri-New Delhi superfast, Puri-Delhi Neelachal express, Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal express and Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Sampark Kranti express respectively.

Three more coaches would be attached to Puri-Jodhpur-Puri expresses and two bogies to Puri-New Delhi-Puri Purushottam expresses, he added.
