THE DISTRICT secondary education authorities seem adept at shirking their responsibilities and pass on many tasks to their subordinates, putting them to inconvenience.
According to sources, recently the principal of Government Inter College (GIC) Tilak Singh Rajput was suspended by the state education authorities and his suspension letter was to be handed over by the district education authorities, but instead of delivering the letter through their own channel, the district secondary education authorities passed the buck and asked the officiating principal of GIC to hand over the suspension letter.
Before suspension, Rajput was attached with the office of joint director (education) following allegations against him for appointing fake evaluators under K Muha-9 process.
However, sources said that Rajput was not found in the office of JD (education), adjacent to the office of District Inspector of School(DIOS). The sources said that the suspension letter was pasted outside the residence of Rajput.
According to existing norms, an FIR should have been lodged by the district controller of examination against Rajput for the allegations against him, but the DIOS, who was district controller for UP Board examination, evaded this.
However, trying to keep himself away from any controversy, the DIOS asked the examination head to lodge the FIR. The teacher was also asked to obtain the K Muha –9 forms in possession of Rajput. The sources said that this attitude of the DIOS had made some teachers panicky and they apprehended trouble.
