Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education Tukojirao Panwar held discussions with ISRO chairman and Secretary, Space, Union Government, Dr Madhavan Nair recently in Bangalore.

Principal Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Dr Bhagirath Prasad, Vice-Chancellor of Bhoj University Dr Kamlakar Singh and other senior officials were present at the meeting.

The Minister said the establishment of the Edusat hub would help quality education reaching out to colleges in remote and rural areas through satellite. He said the decision has been taken to universalise higher education in the State and to ensure quality. The objective is not only to pave over the dearth of teachers but also to develop excellence, capacity building and proper academic atmosphere in the State.

The satellite facility would ensure that teaching by good teachers reaches colleges in all corners of state. Apart from higher education, efforts would be made to benefit the students of technical education through this facility, the Minister said.
