Although Sir Elton John is still fond of British Prime Minister Tony Blair as a person; he is planning to withdraw his support from the national statesman’s Labour Party.

According to recent speculation, Sir John who voted for Blair’s party in parliamentray elections last time is reportedly no longer convinced about his leadership qualities.

"I like Tony Blair a lot, I think he's a good man, but I think it's very hard to be in power for a long time. I think you lose touch. It's that goldfish bowl mentality", Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

Blair had greatly benefitted from Sir John’s support in the past, as it helped the UK government become a closer ally of America.
