Even as the government mulls over the reservation proposal and debates over giving benefits to students from the weaker sections of the society, these students have performed better than their more-privileged counterparts.
As many as 18 students from Springdales School who study on special scholarships have scored between 75 and 89 per cent. “We offer special coaching, provide uniforms, books and even monetary benefits,” says Ameeta Wattal, Principal, Springdales School.
The topper Sakshi Gupta from the commerce stream has scored 87.8 per cent. There are other examples too, and the message is clear — give them a chance.
