Three members of a Hoshiarpur-based family were killed in an accident on Interstate-280 highway near Redwood City of the US on Friday afternoon, after a high-speed SUV hit their vehicle from the rear.

Amarjeet Singh Multani (56), a resident of Hoshiarpur, was moving in the car with his family, wife Manjit Kaur(48), son Manpreet Singh(28) and daughter Jasdeep Kaur(21) in their Tan-lexus car when the tyre of car went flat, said president of the North American President Association Satnam Singh Chahal.

"Reports suggest that the 83-year-old man who struck the car was taken to Stanford Hospital with minor injuries," he added.
