A group of youngsters from the city had turned up to watch India play Spain but were disappointed after the team got a 4-0 drubbing.
"I am feeling bad for the side. May be they should have brought some senior players like (Dhanraj) Pillay or Gagan Ajit (Singh). These two are really good players," said Akram, a teenager from the Gulberg area of the city.
"They have a tough match tomorrow. But I am sure they will fight hard and keep their hopes alive for a good finish."
But the group soon forgot their disappointment as their favourite team Pakistan won its match against Germany later in the day.
