Faridabad: man held for abduction, murder

The Faridabad police on Monday arrested a youth who confessed to having abducted and killed a Delhi-based criminal last year. The youth, identified as Virendra Rai alias Pintu Bihari, lived in Pul Prehladpur in Delhi. Prabhu Razdan reports.

The Faridabad police on Monday arrested a youth who confessed to having abducted and killed a Delhi-based criminal last year. The youth, identified as Virendra Rai alias Pintu Bihari, lived in Pul Prehladpur in Delhi.

The police seized three countrymade pistols and some live cartridges from his possession.During interrogation, the accused revealed that he and his friends had kidnapped one Dileep alias Monti of Govindpuri on July 8, 2012.

He later killed him with the help of his friends and dumped his body in a lake under Surajkund police station in Faridabad district.

Police said the accused had kidnapped Monty from the Surajkund area. The deceased, the cops said, was a criminal. Some cases were registered against him at the Govindpuri police station. The arrested youth which remanded him in judicial custody.
