Faridabad road mishap claims two lives; police file case

A 32-year-old woman and her teenaged daughter were killed, while another person was injured when a speeding truck hit a motorcycle on Faridabad road in Gurgaon on Tuesday.

A 32-year-old woman and her teenaged daughter were killed, while another person was injured when a speeding truck hit a motorcycle on Faridabad road in Gurgaon on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Krishna Singh and her daughter Neetu, residents of Rati Pura in Palwal. Krishna had gone to Jhajjar along with Neetu and her nephew Sonu Malik, 20, on Monday. The accident took place while they were returning to Palwal. The three were taken to Paras Hospital.

Krishna and Neetu died during treatment, while Sonu is undergoing treatment.

A police official said, "We received a call from the hospital at 3:30pm. Sonu's statement was recorded and on the basis of that we filed a case against an unknown person.”

The bodies of the victims have been handed over to relatives after the post-mortem, the police said.
