Fearing arrest, farmers didn't go to hospital

They did not come out for treatment, fearing arrest. Showing their bruises to mediapersons, women and elderly persons complained that they were assaulted by the police.
Septuagenarian Pitam Singh said, "I suffered a bullet wound, but there was nobody to take me to a hospital. The police have detained all young male members." "He is in the ICU and his condition is stable," said a doctor at Kailash Hospital.
"Three other farmers are in the ICU. Narender Singh has suffered a bullet wound. The other two have suffered stone injuries. Som Prakash has suffered a skull bone fracture and Om Prakash has wounds on the skull, and other parts of his body," said a doctor.
