The FIR was registered against the minister and seven others on Monday on the direction of a local court, a senior police official told PTI.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Kushalpal had passed the order for registering the FIR while taking up an application filed by Moolchand Gautam on November 2.

In his application, Gautam alleged that Bharti and seven others had threatened and asked him to withdraw a criminal case filed by him against Kuldeep under the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The minister was not available for comments.
