FIR registered against Cong candidate's brother

BJP workers alleged that Congress candidate Jasubhai Barad's brother had attacked them on Tueday morning.An FIR was registered against the accused.

Police has registered a complaint against the brother of Congress candidate from Junagadh constituency and others for allegedly beating up BJP activists in Talala Taluka area in the wee hours of Tuesday, police said.

FIR has been registered against Congress candidate Jasubhai Barad's brother and few others at the Talala police station on a complaint filed by BJP workers, District Superintendent of Police R J Savani said.

The BJP activists alleged that Barad's brother also snatched a gold chain.

The complaint said that BJP workers were returning from polling booths around 0230 hrs after making arrangement when Congress workers attacked them with lathis and iron pipe.
