THE CONCEPT of leisure/pleasure cycling will be introduced to the denizens of the state with Fire Fox opening a franchisee in the City.

Fire Fox Managing Director Shiv Inder Singh today announced the opening of a ‘bike station’ at Treasure Island where premium international range of these ‘super bikes’ will be available.

Singh said that the cycles designed in United Kingdom (UK) and manufactured in Taiwan are being sold through company outlets only in Delhi and Chandigarh and they have opened franchisees in 15 other cities. The Fire Fox bike station in Indore will be the first to introduce the people of the state to the concept of pleasure biking with high-end trendy and sophisticated cycles.

Singh said that India has evolved as a progressive nation with a strong economy and its market is alluring almost every company of the world. The progress is also evident in the mindset of the people, specially the young generation.

However, most professionals spend almost 16 hours on their job leaving little time for anything else especially any physical exercise. Most of the remaining time is spent among family members. Fire Fox offers a biking experience uniting the family members in outdoor activity.

The company’s Manager (marketing) Hemant Dewan said that about 50 models from the premium range offered by the company would be available at the outlet.

The price of kid’s cycles would start from Rs 1950 and that for adults from Rs 5000 onwards, while the top end model offered by the company here would cost Rs 23500. Also on offer are biking accessories never before introduced in India like hi-tech Shimano biking gear, helmets, bags, water bottles and most important of all a bike carrier that can carry kits on the back of almost all vehicles and carries three bikes at a time.

Franchisee Zal Kawasji said that he had been attracted to Fire Fox as it showed potential in the parameters of product, activity and lifestyle. Another franchisee Himanshu Sharma said that they would focus on the youth and the trend conscious by holding bicycle rallies, bike motocross (BMX) events and school promotions. Owners of Fire Fox cycles will automatically become members of an exclusive club where they can interact and share trails, biking stories and much more.
