A first for Salman Khan: being featured in a movie presented by Yashraj Films. After the dismal response of Salaam-e-Ishq, sources reveal that Khan has resolved to take on limited but quality work.

In lieu of his resolution, he is discussing a project with Kunal Kohli, who has given hits like Hum Tum and Fanaa. The yet untitled project will be produced and directed by Kohli and presented by Yashraj Films.

When contacted, Khan’s secretary Vikas Kapoor said, “I’ve no knowledge about this particular project.” Kohli has been working on the script for nearly a year, say sources.

When asked, Kohli said, “I am still working on the script. But I haven’t approached any actor. I don’t know how the rumour on Khan doing the film started.” The project is expected to go on the floors in June this year. Apart from Salman Khan no other cast has been finalised for this love story.

Prior to this, Khan was approached to play the lead in Yashraj Films Chak DeIndia directed by Shimit Amin, but the plan failed when remuneration was discussed.

Khan on the other hand is finishing his backlog of movies – David Dhawan’s Partner and Rumi Jaffrey’s God Tussi Great Ho. His forth coming films are brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s Hello, in which he will be doing a cameo, Sameer Karnik’s Mera Bharat Mahan, which is being produced by his secretary Vikas Kapoor, and brother Sohail Khan’s next directorial venture.
