A gang of five Asians allegedly snatched 15-year-old student Kris Donald from near his home in south Glasgow and bundled him into a car on Monday afternoon. His badly beaten body was found on Tuesday in the east end of the city.

The police have so far been unable to establish a motive for the killing. Officers, however, clarified it was too early to say whether the murder was racially motivated. The incident has strained relations between whites and Asians, mostly from Pakistan in the city, who are in large number there.
The detectives said that Kris, a pupil at Bellahouston Academy, had been walking with a 19-year-old friend when they were attacked. In the struggle the friend managed to escape, but Kris was forced into a silver Mercedes or BMW car.
Detective Superintendent Elliot McKenzie said the attack was particularly brutal and apparently a senseless attack on a young boy.
