Five women are killed and seven others injured when a huge mound of earth caved in at Simramoh in Deogarh district.

Five women were on Friday killed and seven others injured when a huge mound of earth caved in at Simramoh in Deogarh district.

The women were engaged in digging, when the huge chunk of wet soil caved in, superintendent of police Manoj Kaushik told newsmen in Deogarh.

One of the injured woman said that they were collecting soil for repairing the mud wall of their huts.

"The injured were admitted to a local medical centre," he said.
