In five separate cases, their in-laws have ousted five women from their houses over dowry demand in the district.

In five separate cases, their in-laws have ousted five women from their houses over dowry demand in the district.

The women yesterday lodged complaint of harassment against their in-laws, the police said.

The victims alleged in their complaint that they were beaten and forcibly driven out of their homes over unfulfilled dowry demands by their in-laws, they said.

Varsha, Rachna, Mira, Mamta and Imrana reached their parents houses at Muzaffarnagar, Tikola village, Jhinjhana, Rampur and Purbaliyan village in the district and lodged the complaints separately.
