Flight returns as it could not land at Port Blair

A Port Blair-bound Jet Airways flight returned without landing there because of inclement weather.

A Port Blair-bound Jet Airways flight, which took off from the Meenambakkam airport around 1400 hrs today, returned here without landing there because of inclement weather.

Airport sources said the flight, with 110 passengers on board, landed back here at around 1630 hrs.

All the passengers had been accommodated in various hotels and the flight would be operated tomorrow depending on the weather conditions in Port Blair, they added.
