Former DMK minister's houses raided in Tamil Nadu

Former law minister of Tamil Nadu D Duraimurugan became the sixth former minister from DMK to come under the vigilance scanner with the investigating agency raiding his residence and office on Thursday morning. HT reports.

Former law minister of Tamil Nadu D Duraimurugan became the sixth former minister from DMK to come under the vigilance scanner with the investigating agency raiding his residence and office on Thursday morning.

Along with him, the residence of his close relatives were searched by sleuths of the vigilance department.

He is under the scanner for allegations of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted the raids at 9 premises across the state.

Previously, the DAVC had raided the residences and office premises of former ministers KN Nehru, TM Anbarasan, K Ponmudi, N Suresh Rajan and MRK Panneerselvam.
