Former Kerala CM files nomination

Former Kerala CM and CPI veteran PK Vasudevan Nair in Thiruvananthapuram was among 20 candidates who filed nominations for the Lok Sabha polls in Kerala.

Former Kerala Chief Minister and CPI veteran PK Vasudevan Nair in Thiruvananthapuram, his party colleague and former MP CK Chandrappan in Thrissur and sitting CPI-M member Varkala Radhakrishnan in Chirayinkil were among 20 candidates who filed nominations for the Lok Sabha polls in Kerala on Monday.

CPI-M's C S Sujatha in Mavelikkara, Anto Antony of Congress in Kottayam and PK Velayudhan of BJP in Ottappalam were other major candidates who filed papers on Monday.

A total of 44 nominations including that of independents and dummy candidates, had been received since the process began last week.
