Party General Secretary Debabrata Biswas has written to over 50 political parties and groups in Parliament to support the demand and also ask the government to accept the findings of the one-man panel and withdraw its Action Taken Report (ATR).

Biswas said that the Commission had stated that Netaji had not died in the alleged plane crash in Taiwan on August 18, 1945 and the "so-called ashes kept in Renkoji temple in Japan was not that of Netaji".

He said the government, "in a cryptic ATR have declared that it was not in agreement with these findings of the Commission".

He sought a full-fledged discussion in Parliament on the issue.
