Acting on a tip off, a team of excise officials raided three brick kilns in Rohania area of the district on Wednesday, Excise Inspector Atul Singh said.

Eight persons were detained during the operation and about 130 litres of illicit liquor was seized, Singh said, adding that the brick kilns were used for manufacturing the liquor.

Four of the women were later released while as many were sent to custody, Singh said.
