Four killed, 40 injured in Sri Lanka blasts

At least four persons, including three policemen,were killed and around 40 were injured in three separate attacks by Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka on Thursday, the military said.
The deaths occurred in the first attack that took place in Batticaloa. Thebomb, attached to a bicycle, went off as an army truck passed by. Twenty three others were wounded in that attack, said a local military commander.
Thirteen policemen, seven soldiers and three others were wounded in another attack in the same area, which occurred shortly after the first one.
The third blast, a mine attack,in the neighbouring district of Trincomalee, wounded another13 people, including two sailors and a policeman.
