Gandhians to dwell upon culture of peace

GANDHI ADHYAYAN Peeth of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth will organise three-day 29th annual conference of the Indian Society of Gandhian Studies from October 13 to 15.

Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, director of Gandhi Adhyayan Peeth, Prof Ram Prakash Dwivedi said that more than 100 Gandhian thinkers and scholars would gather in the conference and discuss various aspects of ‘Culture of Peace’ in contemporary scenario.

Dean of Religious and Spiritual Studies at Westle University (USA), Prof J Victor Kanjanian will be the chief guest at the inaugural function whereas vice-chancellor of MGKV, Prof SS Kushwaha will preside over the function.

Prof Dwivedi said that a number of eminent scholars such as vice-chairman of the Indian Society of Gandhian Studies, Prof KD Gangrade, Prof RKM Tripathi of Deen Dayal Upadhyay University, Prof Sushma Yadav of Indian Institute of Public Administration, former director of Gandhi Bhawan, Prof RP Mishra and Prof Ramji Singh would attend the conference.
