Gang of thieves arrested

THE MADHAVNAGAR police have nabbed a gang of thieves and recovered articles worth over Rs 3 lakh from them. The arrest could be a matter of respite for the police as they were facing lot of criticism due to sudden rise in theft incidents in the last two months.

THE MADHAVNAGAR police have nabbed a gang of thieves and recovered articles worth over Rs 3 lakh from them. The arrest could be a matter of respite for the police as they were facing lot of criticism due to sudden rise in theft incidents in the last two months.

The recovered valuables include gold and silver ornaments, 12 mobiles, a TV set, five two wheelers and others. The articles were stolen from various houses under Neelganga, Madhavnagar and Mahakal police stations.  The kingpin of the arrested gang Praveen had committed thefts in Bhopal, Indore and other places too.
