On Sunday night Ganguly had informed Cricket Assocication of Bengal (CAB) joint secretary Saradindu Pal that he would be available for the match.
The former Indian skipper is scheduled to take a connecting flight from Delhi and reach Gwalior on Monday afternoon.
Ganguly did not speak to waiting mediapersons at the NSC Bose International airport.
Early last week, Ganguly had sent a fax to CAB saying that he would not take part in East Zone's first two Deodhar matches on February 25 and February 28.
Ganguly has already announced that he would take part in the last two Deodhar Trophy matches as also in the knockout stage of Bengal's Ranji Trophy one-day campaign.
