Her father K Nagendra said in Bangalore that she was selected for a dance performance by show
creator Danny Boyle.

Games chief Sebastian Coe described the woman, without naming her, as an “over-excited” volunteer who was not a security risk. Indian delegation had demanded an explanation from LOCOG. “She was a cast member. Clearly she got slightly over-excited,” Coe said.
