Gaur lays emphasis on value-based education

FORMER CHIEF minister Babulal Gaur has said that although the number of textbooks for the children has increased, attention was hardly paid to value-based education. Gaur was speaking at the annual function of the Sheel Niketan School at Ravindra Bhavan on Saturday evening.

FORMER CHIEF minister Babulal Gaur has said that although the number of textbooks for the children has increased, attention was hardly paid to value-based education. Gaur was speaking at the annual function of the Sheel Niketan School at Ravindra Bhavan on Saturday evening.

On this occasion, he announced award of Rs 1000 each for three students of the school – Nidhi Shukla, Poonam Mulchandani and Puja Motwani.

Mayor Sunil Sood presided over the function while former chairperson of the MP Tourism Development Corporation Krishna Gaur was special guest. The school report was presented by Subodh Verma. Director of school Sheela Tandon welcomed the guests.

Meritorious students, best teachers and non-teaching staff were awarded on the occasion. Students also presented variety cultural programmes.
