Official sources said Geelani and Shah were last night put under house arrest at Hyderpora and Rawalpora respectively.

They had been violating prohibitory orders by holding anti-poll rallies with support of other separatist leaders like JKLF chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik and People's League head Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
