Get servants, drivers verified: police chief

Commissioner of Police KK Sindhu has asked the employers of all companies to conduct police verification of drivers before hiring them. HT reports.

Commissioner of Police KK Sindhu has asked the employers of all companies to conduct police verification of drivers before hiring them.

Sindhu was addressing a delegation of NASSCOM on Wednesday.

"People should get the antecedents of their servants, drivers, cooks etc verified from the police. Employers should hire only verified drivers for dropping women employees," he added. "Instructions have been issued to install CCTV cameras at parking sites. People should get the fingerprints, photographs, ID proofs of drivers, servants and cooks etc verified from the police," added Sindhu.

"An ACP-level officer is deputed daily for inspection of locations around pubs and liquor vends from midnight onwards," he said.

Subinder Khurana, Huda administrator Praveen Kumar and MCG commissioner Sudhir Rajpal were also present in the meeting.
