In the aftermath of the Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru’s execution, the special cell had allegedly detained Ifthikar Gilani of the Daily News Analysis newspaper, whose father-in-law Syed Ali Shah Gilani is a Kashmiri separatist leader. On Sunday, they knocked on his door yet again.

“They came this morning and asked me if I had any plans of going out,” Gilani told Hindustan Times. “Right now they are moving around in my colony, keeping an eye on me.”

What bothered him most Gilani claimed, was a conversation the special cell personnel had with his children’s tuition teacher. “In fact, they told him that no matter what happened, they would take to terrorism one day and their education would not matter then,” Gilani claimed.
