Police are looking for three youths who allegedly gang raped a woman in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police are looking for three youths who allegedly gang raped a woman in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Saturday.
Saying that her father was closely known to him, a youth named Abdul Rehman became close to the 21-year-old woman while she was attending a marriage at Nachlana village in Banihal tehsil on Friday night, they said.
Rehman promised to take the woman to the home of her relative in a nearby village but instead took her to his house which was empty as his relatives had gone out for the evening.
He and his cousins Mohammed Iqbal and Parvez then allegedly gang raped the woman through the night, officials said.
The woman reported the matter to police at Banihal this morning and a case was registered, they said adding medical examination of the victim had confirmed rape.
Police was launched a manhunt to arrest Rehman and his cousins, they said.
